This document is a starting template. Company-specific details in [square brackets] must be completed, and the final wording should be reviewed by a qualified attorney before you rely on it.
These Terms govern your use of the Investment Property Platform (“IPP”, “the Platform”). By registering or using the Platform you agree to them.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be 18 or older and provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity on your account.
2. Membership and payments
- The Platform offers Free, Pro and Institutional membership tiers.
- Paid memberships are billed through PayFast on the cycle shown at checkout and renew until cancelled.
- You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
3. Listings and the marketplace
IPP is a marketplace that connects investors with property opportunities. Listings, figures and documents are supplied by sellers, agents or third parties. IPP does not own the properties, is not a party to any transaction between users, and does not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any listing.
4. Off-market opportunities and confidentiality
Access to off-market opportunities and certain documents is restricted to eligible members and may require acceptance of a confidentiality undertaking. You agree to keep such information confidential and to use it only to evaluate the relevant opportunity.
5. No advice
Information on the Platform is provided for general information only and does not constitute financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Please read our Disclaimer.
6. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the Platform, scrape or republish content, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or use it for unlawful purposes.
7. Intellectual property
The Platform, its design and content (excluding user- and seller-supplied material) are owned by IPP and may not be copied or reused without permission.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, IPP is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the Platform or reliance on any listing or information. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction. We may update these Terms from time to time. Contact: [hello@your-domain.co.za].
